Did you know that Disney villians had kids? Well, if you don’t know, this book review will help you understand what I mean.
The Isle of the Lost is an island, (isle means island, in case you didn’t know) where all the villains resurected, or alive were sent for internity. The isle is covered by an almost unbreakable dome. The isle has only scraps from Auradon. The isle is an area that is broken down, scary, and full of evil. Mal is the daughter of the Mistress of Darkness, Maleficent. Jay is the son of the thief Jafar. Evie is the daughter of the wicked Evil Queen. Carlos De Vil is the son of the wretched Cruella De Vil. If you don’t remember them I have placed the movies they were in below.
- Sleeping Beauty (Maleficent)
- Aladdin (Jafar)
- Snow White (Evil Queen)
- 101 Dalmations (Cruella De Vil)
Mal is as evil as a teen gangster, but her mother says she will never be as evil as she is. Unless, Mal shows her true dark side. Jay is the Prince of Thiefs, his father the King of Thiefs. Jay is a boy of many talents, such as stealing, and lying to state a few. Evie is a beautiful evil princess. All her mother wants is her to be the fairest of them all. Even as beautiful Evie is, it’s never enough for her mother.
So she is forced to get as pretty as she has to everyday. Carlos is a smart kid, but scared of dogs. His mother treats him like a slave. Every one of these characters are cursed as their parents are. The kids all go to Dragon Hall (their school). Mal, Jay, Evie, and Carlos work together to find the Dragon’s Eye Maleficent’s scepter.
This weapon can break the dome and free everyone from that wretched place. I don’t want to spoil the book, so buy the book and read on!
