The Chinese New Year Play

By Maximillan Spencer

Today the fourth grade class went to Queens college to see several dances to celebrate the Chinese new year. One dance is called the raindrop, in this play a dancer represents a  peacock embracing peace. Another  dance is called the lion dance. It was an amazing play with lions and this dance requires great agility. And in the end, one of my classmates got to dance on stage with ribbons. This is a dance where you use props. There are three moves the dancers taught us. The waterfall, the wave and the rainbow. These are the dances we saw on our field trip.
